 “The Modern Woman” is not clearly defined. It’s more of a concept whose definition changes according to the individual defining it at that moment. In this case, The Modern Woman is a play on words to mimic that sentiment. I wouldn’t personally describe these particular pieces as aligning with the “modern” fashion trends of today. This is exactly why I chose the name [The Modern Woman] because in the same breath what even is a ‘Modern Woman?’ So with the first drop for this collection I wanted to “take it back” a bit and have room to play around with the types of pieces Lee’s Refinery will curate for the future drops of this collection. Today it may be your Grandmothers favorite church dress, tomorrow your favorite matching set to wear on vacation.
